Paul Roussel - Manager
 

 

Paul Stone

Paul Stone - Conservation Forester

As a Conservation Forester at Crosby Resource Management, Paul Stone has over 30 years of forestry experience. In addition to all aspects of forest management, Paul brings additional expertise to the conservation component of forestry by identifying and managing state and federally listed threatened and endangered species, as well as critically imperiled species and communities. He assists in salvage and recovery of forest resources damaged by wildfire, insect and disease, hurricanes or other damaging agents. He participates in internal and external audits to assure compliance with environmental policies, writes management plans and burn plans and acts as fire boss on prescribed TSI and site prep burns. Paul provides training and acts as technical advisor to Management Foresters, Forestry Technicians and Loggers through the Louisiana Forestry Association and Louisiana Logging Council for Best Management Practices.

Paul has the following licenses:

  • LA Master Logger/Professional Forester
  • Endangered/Threatened Species, Recovery Permit (Red Cockaded Woodpecker)
  • Certified Prescribed Burn Manager for Louisiana. Texas & Mississippi

Paul’s career experience includes 7 years with Temple Inland as a Conservation Forester/District Forester and 8 years as a Forest Administrator/Forester at Bayfield County Forest Department. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Forest Management at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Clay Dowies

Clay Dowies - Forest Technician

Clay Dowies is a Forest Technician that has been with CRM since 2012. Clay assists with many areas of forestry work with emphasis on timber cruising, harvest inspections, boundary maintenance and supervision of site prep and planting. Clay was a Master Tech III at Roy O. Martin where he supervised logging, road work, site prep and planting. He did a variety of forestry work including cruising, GPS and GIS services.

Clay has the following licenses:

Clay graduated from Louisiana Technical College of Forestry.

 

Nathan Spencer

Nathan Spencer - Special Projects Manager and Real Estate Sales

Nathan Spencer brings over 30 years of forestry and real estate experience to his role as the manager of Crosby Resource Management (CRM). He is the main contact for CRM’s corporate and private clients, is the leader of all real estate and timber sales and is responsible for managing over 150,000 acres of timberland.

Nathan has the following licenses:

  • Real Estate Broker with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission
  • Prescribed Burner certified through the Louisiana Department of Agriculture

Prior to his career at CRM, he worked at Temple Inland Forest for over 20 years as a Real Estate Forester, Forest Management Administrator, Regional Fiber Administrator and District Forest Supervisor. During those years, his sales and acquisition area exceeded one million acres while he was responsible for managing three area offices and all aspects of Temple Inland’s holdings in Louisiana. Nathan earned his Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from McNeese State University.
